STUDENTS-The use of headphones, ear buds, and/or cell phones is allowed during lunch and class changes only. If you are sent out of class with a pass, that is NOT the time to be using these devices and they should not be seen. Thank you for your cooperation so that we may keep the privilege to use these devices on campus altogether.

PHS students are invited to attend a matinee showing of Les Miserables on Wednesday, May 10th at 9:30 am for a discounted price of $10 per ticket and $2 for the bus.  Students who attend will be excused from classes.  50 tickets are currently reserved and will be sold first come, first served.  If all 50 are sold, we will ask for more tickets.  Please pay your $12 to Mrs. Keene at the cashiers window.


Any girls interested in playing volleyball, please attend the meeting on May 4 @ 3:00 in the gym. Or, see Coach Newton for more details.

Seniors - Do you want to sing the National Anthem at Graduation?  Try-outs will be held Tuesday, May 9 beginning at 2:15 p.m. in the Band Room.  If you wish to audition, please sign-up in Guidance.  Solos and Ensembles are welcome.  All auditions will be a cappella.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Chaires in guidance.

Students - Registration for Fall Dual Enrollment with St. Johns River State College will be May 9th, 10th, and 11th  in the Panther Den between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  If you are interested in signing up for dual enrollment classes for the fall, please sign-up for an appointment in guidance.  Remember you must have qualifying test scores in reading, english, and mathematics and an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher to take dual enrollment classes on the St. Johns River State College campus.  If you have questions, please see your guidance counselor.

Students - If you are interested in Dual Enrollment and do not have the test scores for eligibility, there will be a CPT test this summer on June 6 at the Palatka Campus of St. Johns River State College.  If you are interested in signing up for this CPT test, you must sign-up in Guidance.  Hurry, space is limited.

Mr. Garison, our automotive instructor, is taking a group of students on a field trip May 9 to J-Tech. J-Tech is an automotive and diesel mechanic school and a CDL truck driving school in Jacksonville. He has graciously decided to invite 10 other students to join his trip. If you are interested, please see Mr. Garison for more information and a permission slip. Please see him by May 1.

Yearbooks will arrive sometime early next week.

There are still some unreserved copies; you can pay to reserve one at the cashier's window. Yearbooks are $75 until the delivery truck's wheels hit PHS pavement, then they go up to $80, so get yours reserved now!
